This set up is possible with Asus ad Merlin. We Recommend first to try use OpenVPN tutorial for you Asus Router. If that doesn’t work well for you then try to set up your router with the follow steps and starting use PPTP.
Server Location Address
Take note of IP address of your prefer location, all servers IP address are listed here.
Configure your Asus Router
Visit the router page, by default is 192.168.1.1
Enter Username and Password. By default are admin/admin
Click on VPN on left side
At the top of the page click on “PPTP/L2TP CLient”
Now click on “Add Profile”
On the new box, we select “PPTP” and we start fill the fields:
-Description: Anything which will remind us what is about
-VPN Server: The address from our list
-Username: we received by email
-Password: we received by email
-PPTP options: MPPE 128
Click “Ok” and then “Active”
